Isabella Ashely LPC, NCC

I am a Birmingham native, whose life is purposed to empowering her community,
advocacy, and eradicating the stigma that surrounds mental health.  With fourteen years
of experience in business, sales, coaching, public speaking, and team building; coupled
with 8 years of experience in mental health, behavioral management and crisis
intervention, I have an exceptional solution-focused approach to assisting others in
resolving external and internal conflicts.
 
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The University of Alabama (Roll
Tide!) and my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of
Alabama at Birmingham.  I have a certification in Marriage and Family Therapy, am a
National Certified Counselor with the National Board of Certified Counselors and a
Licensed Professional Counselor with the Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling.
 
I have experience working with adults with severe mental illness, children and
adolescents with suicidal ideation, sexual trauma, and behavioral challenges.  I also
have experience in individual, couples, family and group counseling; specializing in
domestic violence, anger management, shoplifting/theft, and parenting groups.
 
I work full-time as the owner of Your Counselor’s Corner, counseling practice where we
serve adults, couples, and entrepreneurs.
 
I am an active member of the Alabama Black Deaf Advocates, serving on the board,
and a member of the Alabama Counseling Association.
 
I am a self-care JUNKIE! So in my spare time, I enjoy exercising, trying new vegan
recipes, spending time with family, loving on my Rottweiler “Boss”, and intentional meet
ups with friends.  I also have a blast as a judge for beauty pageants, where I’ve judged
in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee.
 
My goal with each individual I’m honored to meet and sit in front of, is to help peel off
some of the layer's life covered them with, to see their present and future as bright as
they imagined it to be.
